Interview process
- Recruiter screen — 30-min call. Fit, current role, why Flipkart. Do NOT skip the 'why Flipkart' answer — recruiters cut candidates here.
- Hiring manager round — 60 min. Deep dive on your last 2 products/projects. Expect follow-ups on trade-offs, metrics, and stakeholder decisions.
- Product sense round — 45-60 min. 'Design/improve X for Flipkart' — grocery, video, seller-side, payments. They score on clarify → segment → prioritise → measure.
- Analytical / RCA round — 45 min. Root-cause a metric drop, or size a market. They give ambiguous data on purpose — ask for what you need.
- Bar raiser / leadership — 45 min. Behavioural + strategic. STAR stories, especially around influence without authority.
What Flipkart looks for
- Structured thinking — they visibly score the framework you use.
- Customer obsession, expressed through specific examples, not slogans.
- Data fluency — casual SQL/analytics vocabulary lands well.
- Bias for action balanced with judgement on what to NOT ship.
- Comfort with ambiguity — Flipkart problems rarely come with a brief.
